Norddeutsche Trompetentage 2015

15 - 20 Nov 2015 | Academy of music Lower Saxony - Wolfenbüttel

We are sorry to inform you that the Trompetentage has been cancelled. As you all may know, the situation in Germany regarding refugees is a big issue at the moment. Due to this, the mayor of Wolfenbüttel has decided to house refugees in the Youth Guest House starting this week. All reservations have been cancelled for the next year. We are very surprised about this sudden decision and very sad that we have to cancel the whole masterclass.

We are aware of the fact that you were all looking forward to the Trompetentage and had to organise a lot to come to Wolfenbüttel. We are very sorry about the inconvenience this has caused, but we don’t have any influence over these kinds of decisions from the ministry.

We hope that you all understand our situation, and we hope to see you all at the next Norddeutsche Trompetentage!

Information

The Norddeutsche Trompetentage will take place for the 2nd time from 20 to 25 November 2015. This master class offers conservatory students and pupils the possibility to work together with renowned professors and teachers in a relaxed environment, in which they can further develop their skills, and receive advice and motivation for their continued studies, as well as interact with other course participants.

The course does not focus exclusively on private lessons, but rather emphasizes audition training and ensemble playing. In addition to working on and practising audition excerpts, actual audition situations are simulated. Such audition training is a good opportunity to prepare for auditions, and to gain experience and routine through simulated auditions, with the aim of warding of nervousness and anxiety that may build up in an actual audition situation.

During the course, a number of trumpet makers, as well as mute producers will be exhibiting their instruments and products. This will give the participants the possibility to try out, compare, and exchange ideas on various instruments and mutes.

For the last evening, we have planned a short and public farewell concert, which will showcase both solo and ensemble pieces.

Course fees

Course fee without full board: 320 EUR
Course fee with full board: 465 EUR

Students who are members of GVL may apply for a contribution towards the course and accommodation fees directly through GVL. GVL’s contact information is available here: www.gvl.de/en/contact. Some music conservatories and music universities will refund a part of the course fee. We will hand out participation confirmations during the course.

For pupils

Pupils who are unable to attend the master class due to school commitments will still be able to take private lessons with the professors and teachers upon consultation. This is a good opportunity for pupils, who are aiming to study at a conservatory, to get to know renowned professors from German music conservatories. It is also possible to attend the Norddeutsche Trompetentage as passive participant. More information is available upon request via the  contact form.

Further details you will find also in the general terms and conditions.

The number of participants is limited. Participants will be selected from the applications that have been submitted on time.

The deadline of registration is the 1st of October 2015.
